SUBJECT: Installation of AT-3G™ High-Strength Hybrid Acrylic Adhesive Anchors, ET-
3G™ Epoxy Adhesive Anchors and SET-3G™ High-Strength Epoxy Adhesive Anchors into holes drilled with Diablo AMPED™ Rebar Demon™ Dust Extraction Drill Bits

Evaluation reports ICC-ES ESR-5026, ICC-ES ESR-5334 and ICC-ES ESR-4057 address the use of AT-3G High-Strength Hybrid Acrylic Adhesive, ET-3G Epoxy Adhesive and SET-3G High-Strength Epoxy Adhesive for anchoring threaded steel rods and deformed steel reinforcing bars in cracked and uncracked concrete. Included in evaluation reports ESR-5334 and ESR-4057 is recognition of the Bosch®/Simpson Strong-Tie DXS Hollow Carbide Drill Bit & Vacuum Dust Extraction System for use in hole preparation (hole drilling and cleaning).

Based on testing conducted by Simpson Strong-Tie® at our IAS accredited laboratory (accreditation number TL-284), it has been determined that the use of Diablo AMPED Rebar Demon Dust Extraction Drill Bits may be alternatively used for hole preparation for AT-3G, ET-3G or SET-3G anchors provided a vacuum equipped with an automatic filter cleaning system that has a minimum airflow rating of 129 cfm is used.

The information in this letter is valid until 06/30/2026 when it will be re-evaluated by Simpson
